A Post A Day..

Jenny at Allsorts has come up with a Post a Day challenge, and I've joined in. Now to see if I can come up with 30 days of posts without cluttering my blog up with a lot of pointless crap. :p

I stuck a list of the other participants down the sidebar, and since I had to type the whole thing out with my left hand and the pinky of my right hand, thanks to a dead right hand from my pinched neck nerve, you should check them all out, just to make it at least worth the effort I put in. Right? Right? :p

Woven Lotus..

Woven Lotus was started by my friend (of the hot hubby here)...I'll let her speak for herself:

Welcome to The Woven Lotus, this website was created to bring together people affected by sexual assault and abuse. Inspired by Threads of Compassion to create a Georgia chapter. We work with local rape crisis centers, hospitals, behavioral health facilities, and counseling centers to supply scarves and shawls to give to victims of sexual violence.

If you can knit, crochet, or sew a shawl or scarf we need you! The victims need you. If you have any supplies you would like to donate (yarn, fabrics) we would love to receive them.

I intend to make a few shawls (sewing....my knitting and crocheting are still too dubious, lol)...wanna join me?? All the info is on her site...have a look!

Tuesday has thrown down the gauntlet, and I have accepted. The challenge is ON!!! Okay, so, maybe not quite that aggressively. At least, not on my side. Cause I know she is going to kick my bootay! :p So, I am just viewing this as a friendly little game, where we are going to interpret that gorgeous red and white Dior dress into something actually wearable!! Woohoo!

I went into the city today to Kinokuniya, which has a HUGE Japanese section, and had a browse, and saw a pattern in one book that looked awesome as a starting point, so I put it on hold....and we're off!!! :D
